India EvalCase Competition Jury Members 

For the India EvalCase Competition 2021, contesting teams will prepare their submission based on the provided case with the required components. To judge the best submissions, a panel of jury is assembled by inviting professionals and academicians in the field of M&E. The jury members will use predefined criteria to judge each submission and provide feedback to the teams. We are proud to announce our jury members!

Dr. Ami Divatia

Dr. Ami Divatia has a doctorate in Family Resource Management from M. S. University, Baroda in the year 2002. She has experience in the Research Methodology of over 25 years at many reputed colleges of Ahmedabad, and has published three books and a few articles in national and international journals. She created a case study on ECCH in 2008-09. She has presented papers at international seminars in India, Hong Kong, Thailand and Spain.

Dr. Divatia guides Masters students at various academic institutions, and is a member of Ethics Committee of three different hospitals. Her passion to indulge with data took her to establish own consultancy firm in the year 2010, wherein, she has consulted variety of research projects analysing the data and drawing inferences.

Mr. Banda V L N Rao

Banda V L N Rao obtained a Master’s degree in Mathematics from Andhra University and later went on to complete a 3-year course in advanced statistics from the Research and Training School of Indian Statistical Institute, Calcutta. He became a member of the Indian Statistical Service and held various appointments in the Ministry of Labour and Planning Commission in the Government of India. His work involved large and small sample surveys in the field of labour, employment and manpower and monitoring and evaluation studies.  Post-retirement as Director in the Planning Commission in 1995, he continued to work with public, private and international organizations (ILO) as a consultant in labour market studies and in evaluation. Currently, Mr. Rao is a member of the Core Group of Evaluation Community of India since 2015. 



Ms. Cini Mohanty

Ms. Cini Mohanty, Director of ProSocio Sports and Games Federation, is a UNICEF certified Change Maker. She was formerly working with CII and has 15+ years of experience in Policy Advocacy, Skill Development, Business Development, Event Management, Client handling and Project Management. Has been a part of monitoring and evaluation of community soccer program. She is passionate about working for the underserved and has been a sportswoman herself.



Ms. Megha Pradhan

Megha Pradhan is a Senior Policy and Training Manager at J-PAL South Asia, where she manages J-PAL South Asia's Education sector. She also works on building capacity for monitoring and evaluation through the CLEAR South Asia centre.

Prior to joining J-PAL South Asia in 2015, Megha was an Assistant Professor of Economics at University of Delhi. She has also worked with the National Knowledge Commission, an advisory body to the Prime Minister of India. Megha holds a Master's in Economics from University of Maryland, College Park and the Delhi School of Economics.


Dr. Pallavi Gupta

Dr. Pallavi Gupta is serving as an Assistant professor, Public Health Research, at Ramaiah International Center for Public Health Innovations(RICPHI), Bengaluru, with over 4 years of work experience in designing and adapting data collection tools, mechanisms for monitoring and evaluation, and quantitative data analysis. Her interests include reproductive and child health, adolescent health, gender issues, early childhood education, and child development.

She is an out-of-the-box thinker, a firm believer in a dynamic approach with the ability to apply knowledge and experience in various settings and causes. 

She holds a Master's degree in Statistics from Punjab University, Chandigarh, and M.Phil. & Ph.D. in Population Studies from International Institute for Population Sciences, Mumbai. She has been associated with ICF Consulting India Private Limited and National Centre of Excellence and Advanced Research on Diets (NCEAR-D), Lady Irwin College, New Delhi.

Mr. Prabhu Ponnusamy

Prabhu Ponnusamy, CEO - Iotalytics Analytic Solutions Pvt. Ltd., has over 17 years of experience in Monitoring and Evaluation and large-scale health survey expertise. He is a graduate in  Statistics and  an MPhil in Demography/Population Science from Annamalai University. He has conceptualized, designed, developed, managed and implemented the M&E in diverse  projects. He has  developed and implemented databases to track the flow of information within complex, multi-layered, geographically dispersed projects, placing a specific emphasis on data quality. He  has also extensively worked in various large-scale demographic, health surveys in India (DLHS, NFHS etc.). Prior to this, he has been associated with Mamta, PSI, UN Agencies, IIPS & Population Research Centre, Gandhigram.

Dr. Shyam Singh

Dr.  Shyam Singh is an Associate Professor in Social Sciences at IRMA. Dr Singh holds a PhD in Political Science from the Institute for Social and Economic Change (ISEC), Bangalore. 

He was the Scholar-in-Residence at the University of Antwerp, Belgium, in 2018.  

Dr. Shyam was a member of the Second Common Review Mission, appointed by the Ministry of Rural Development, Government of India. He currently serves as a member of the Expert Committee to select National CSR Awards by the Ministry of Corporate Affairs, Government of India. His research interests include community development and governance, monitoring and evaluation, CSR, and social networks. 

Dr. Shyam teaches Rural Society and Polity, Monitoring and Evaluation, and Social Network Analysis at IRMA. He has been working with UNICEF, the World Bank, the Government of India, and Gujarat on various evaluation and research assignments.  

The competition team has approached a few other individuals to be a part of the jury panel. As more members will accept our invitation, we will add the details here.
